Parents face fines over child's insurance
A recent survey has revealed that 6 out of 10 parents are willing to consider Insuring their Child's car in their own name with the child as a named driver to bring the cost of their Insurance down.
This is against the law and the parents risk invalidating the Insurance policy and also face fines.
If the policy becomes invalid and the Insurer declines a claim, the young driver could be treated as uninsured and could also be fined hundreds of pounds and receive 6 penalty points on their Driving Licence, which means an automatic ban for new drivers.
This will also mean that any future policies they have in the future may become very expensive.
