Football Fans travel over 5000 miles a year
Football fans with hours of happy, and not so happy, motoring ahead of them this season were today advised to ensure they have a good car insurance policy.
Research shows that fans of clubs in the Premier League will drive an average of 5,554 miles to watch their team away from home this season, accounting for almost 100 hours of their spare time.
This figure doesn't include any travelling involved in attending home games.
This amount of travelling makes the car a critical piece of equipment for diehard fans and it is important that fans do everything they can to protect it, including having the right car insurance.
With so many miles travelled for the love of football, it's vital that fans who drive make sure their vehicles are well-maintained and that they have adequate insurance and breakdown cover, in case the worst should happen.
